Free download of eight previously unissued tracks spanning over forty years.

Tracks 1 & 2 – Eiffel Towers were my first ever band. We supported both The Bluebells and The Delmontes in Glasgow in 1981. These two tracks were recorded at Wilf Smarties studio in Edinburgh in March 1981. The band consisted of Hugh Small (bass), Gary Roberts (Guitar & Synth), Anna MacPherson (Vocals) and Ian Webb (Drums).

Track 3 – This track was recorded in November 1981 on a 4-track porta-studio in Hamilton, Lanarkshire. Eiffel Towers had disintegrated by then and this was the first recording I made using the name Vazz. Vocals & Lyrics courtesy of Gerry McLaughlin who sang with the band Article 58.

Tracks 4 & 5 – Two previously unissued Vazz tracks with Anna Howson (Vocals & Lyrics) which were recorded at Berkeley Street Studios in Glasgow in Spring 1983.

Tracks 6 & 7 – Recorded in Birnam, Perthshire in 2008 on a 4-track porta-studio, this was the first time I started to use the name Reluctant Participant. I’d never made any music for two decades and my good friend and operatic baritone, Mark Saberton, provided the vocals. I wrote the lyrics for both pieces as well as creating the music.

Track 8 – Recorded in Canillas de Albaida, Andalucia in December 2020.
